Not recorded, and it matters:
- How many nights of use before the judgement was made
- Which specific pillows it was compared against, by name
- Which AirPods generation — stem profile differs between models
- The tester's own neck-to-shoulder measurement and mattress firmness
Google's product-review guidance says trust is built when readers understand how many products were tested, what the results were, and how the testing was done. A page that quietly filled these in would be doing the opposite of what that asks. They stay visible until someone actually writes them down.
What one person's experience does not establish:
- That it works for every side sleeper. Required loft is a property of the sleeper and the mattress. At a fixed 5–5.5 inches this pillow cannot be right for everyone, and the fit calculation exists precisely to tell a reader whether they are in its range.
- Anything about ears, hearing, or any medical situation.
- That it outperforms pillows it was never compared against.
Why it is mechanically plausible anyway: The construction matches what the bottoming-out model predicts should work: dual-density foam giving a conforming top over a supportive base, at 5–5.5 inches of loft — inside the range typical adult side-sleeper measurements imply. That is an explanation of the result, not evidence for it. The evidence is one person.
Who this result can transfer to derived, not measured
The pillow that worked has a fixed loft, and a fixed-loft pillow can only be right for a body whose required loft lands in that band. So the result quietly bounds the tester without anyone measuring them, and — more usefully — it bounds who the result can transfer to.
